Leila Taghiyar is a faculty member at the Royan Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Royan Institute, where her research focused on stem cell differentiation into bone and cartilage, as well as digit tip regeneration in animals using transgenic cells. She has served as the principal investigator on numerous basic sciences, preclinical, and related clinical trials in the field of regenerative medicine. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Regeneration for 3 years, and also supervises the production of clonal mesenchymal stem cells as advanced therapy medicinal products at the Royan ATMP Center. Now, she is the CEO of Roein Tan Cell, a company specializing in the development of advanced cell, gene, and tissue-based medical therapies. Currently, the company offers five cell-based products designed to treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), low back pain (LBP), diabetic foot ulcers (DFU), and skin burns.
